ACVCD (Accreditation Centre for VET Curriculum Developers)
|
Curriculum development (CD) is a core issue to improve the school VET practices and the in-company training provision of countries. This activity demands special skills and competences for experts, much more then what is required for teaching and training. In order to meet the competence base teaching/learning criteria, CD activities are taking place widely in Europe to modernise training content. Therefore, all countries are in need of professionals who have proved to be “real” curriculum developers, not simply expert teachers or trainers.
In the past years several EU projects dealt with development of innovative training materials for VET. E-learning frameworks, guides for teachers in the application of active pedagogical methods, etc. have been created, but there have been no consolidated material prepared for how to use these elements in the course of curriculum development. A pool of experts of curriculum development is also missing.
For these reasons the Digital Pedagogy professional Service providing Institution (DPSI) and its partners would like to establish an on-line European Accreditation Centre for VET Curriculum Developer professionals, supported with an e-learning training course to prepare experts to meet the accreditation criteria.
The primary aims of the “Accreditation Centre for VET Curriculum Developers” (ACVCD) project is to establish an on-line European Accreditation Centre for VET Curriculum Developer professionals.
The project activities are carried out with the support of the European Community Leonardo da Vinci programme.
